Area 13 Coordinator: Dorothy Pestell
Dorothy has been a member of the DMRI executive committee for well over 15 years. Her interest in keeping abreast of developments in the community are very personal as she has lived in Don Mills since 1963, with the exception of a 6-year period where she was forced to live north of the 401 (oh the horror!!!) when the old Brydencourt apartments were torn down to make way for a new condominium development known as Village Mews.
Dorothy has seen Don Mills grow from its experimental beginnings as Canada’s first planned community, to the vibrant neighbourhoods that exist today.
