2nd Vice President / Area 7 Coordinator: Tom Yarmon
I am as pretty close to an original Don Miller as you can get. My family moved to Don Mills when I was a little guy in the 1950’s and I attended Overland Drive School (and cub scouts in the next door church), Three Valleys school, and then junior and senior high school at Don Mills CI. I moved away for university which included a Masters degree in Environmental Studies (urban development). I moved back to Don Mills in year 2000. I have worked in the field of urban development all of my career, including stints as an assistant to the former mayors of Calgary (Rod Sykes) and of Toronto (David Crombie). I still work in this field as an advisor in the property development and investment industry. For fun and alternative experiences I have volunteered for non-profits as diverse as the Canadian Arctic Resources Committee; Scouts Canada; the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts and AMICI (we send kids to summer camps). I have a real stake in the future of Don Mills and aim to help not only to preserve the best of what we have, but enhancing the social and physical characteristics of our community as we change with the times.
